I'VE LOVED YOU SO LONG
starts December 19
"Brilliant! The must-see movie of 2008. Kristin Scott Thomas' moving and luminous performance has raw power that is almost indescribable. This transcends acting. It's life." -Pete Hammond, Hollywood.com
With one of the most astounding performances ever captured on film, Kristin Scott-Thomas carries this mature, sophisticated and enormously moving tale of woman who, after years away, sets about to reconnect with her past, her family and her community. Léa (Elsa Zylberstein) welcomes her sister Juliette (Scott Thomas) home from prison, only to find Juliette distant and ill-at-ease. Gradually, Juliette finds her way, but remains haunted by the memory of the terrible crime she committed. In his directorial debut, novelist Philippe Claudel elicits performances that the San Francisco Chronicle called "acting at its most exalted."

AZUR AND ASMAR: THE PRINCES' QUEST
starts December 26
"A magical, awe-inspiring tale thoroughly committed to the virtues of pluralism and multiculturalism in creating a better world … a tale of two races, two cultures, two continents, two languages - and of two 'princes' who achieve their regal status through worth rather than birth … imagines a utopia where differences might be both acknowledged and embraced in a dance of color." –Eye for Film
From the creator of Kirikou and the Sorceress comes this animated tale of two children brought up by the same woman. Azur is the blond blue-eyed son of a nobleman and Asmar the dark skinned and dark-eyed child of a nurse. As they grow up, the nurse tells them the enchanting story of the Djinn fairy waiting to be released from captivity by a good and heroic prince. After being cruelly separated by Azur's father, the three discover each other again, in a land far away, and set off to rescue the fairy. The Financial Times describes this film as "cinema whose every frame could be hung on an art gallery wall."
